Recitals

Recitals are such a fun part of dance, both for the students and the parents.  They also have the potential to be a really important learning and growth opportunity for the dancers!  We approach recitals a little differently in an effort to make them meaningful and growth-promoting for our students.

Show of Gratitude

A service-based performance in November with the theme of “Gratitude” that is taken to a rest-home or other community venue.  Our dancers are involved in the choreography process and are given the opportunity to see that they can use the creativity and skills they are developing to bring happiness to others.  This is a very low-key performance with a very high-impact. Every dance class will participate.

Ballet/Creative Showcase

This is our formal concert at the gorgeous Peery’s Egyptian Theater for our oldest students in 2nd grade and up. Creative Composition students will have a chance to put their own creative concepts and movement directed by their teachers onstage and ballet students will be able to showcase their technical development. For students in Creative Composition A & B classes and Ballet A classes.

Spring Production

All Move with Me, Creative Movers, Kinder Movers, Beginning Movers, Mighty Movers, Musical Theater, and 2nd grade up Jazz A or Ballet/Jazz B classes come together for an original theatrical production. We like to divide the studio into smaller casts in order to keep our shows short and sweet so everyone can enjoy. Our oldest students have the opportunity to audition for lead soloist roles.
